Description:
Gospel of Mark: chapters one and two. A pen-flourished initial 'A' in blue and red ink introduces the next chapter. Jesus tells a sick man to rise from his bed and walk and gathers Levi (Matthew) the tax-collector as an apostle. The Pharisees ask why Jesus endures the company of sinners, to which he replies that he came to call all men to God including the sinners. The written space is c. 207 x 133 mm in two columns.
