Medical recipes. The word '.stone.' is written twice in the top margin and once in the left. Line 8, scribal error, scored through. line 10 and 11, in left margin: 'thys mvste [*] nedes [*]'. Line 17 the y of 'dragaunys' has a line through it. Line 24 in left margin: 'Collica passo'. Line 25 'scammony' is convolvulus scammonia, a purgative gum resin. Line 26 'cassiafistula' is a type of cinnamon, also known as senna. Below line 28 is an additional herbal/recipe: 'Egremon . hath longe stalk & oute of hym growith in a sreg(es) & eu(er)y srege fvll of levis .j.growyng agynte Anoþ(er) sum(~) gret sum smale & gagyd ou(er) gage a yenyste A noþ(er) & a fra sper poynte he loketh þyke & grene jn þ(e) tappe as a hege tap donewarde vppone þ(e) stalke her & þ(er) A bodde a yelow'. The written space is c. 163 x 115 mm and the script is mainly secretary.

Saxfrage and filipondula porspers Chory stone kernele and 4. and Gromyll & grynde hem all to poudir And lett hym vse 5. it first & last in drinke / ffor the ffalyng evyll Take verveyne 6. and he cloot & browne fenell & boyle hem in a galou(~) of good 7. stale alle till halff be sodyn jnne & geve to drinke To 8. knowe whedir the man or the woman [*] be in defaute 9. þ(t) þe wo(~)man may not conceyve Take boþe her watirs 10. & put hem in to a newe erthyn poott(es) eche by þem selfe 11. w(t) a qu(an)tite of white branne .x. days and .x. nyghtes 12. And in þe watir þat is defaute woll be smalle quycke 13. wormys ffor reinynge of Nosys Take the jus of 14. mynte & of rewe & temp(er) hem to gedir and do it in þe 15. nose þryllys ofte And it woll meche amende it & purge 16. oute the filthe of þe brayn where it comyth Also C 17.
