Description:
The Sackville Street building. Taken from the western side of Sackville Street where it intersects with Whitworth Street angled south east across the frontage of the building towards the Savoy grill and café on Granby Row (since demolished). Along the visible length of Sackville Street there are the old style street lamps which had been replaced by the 1930s and although there is no traffic to be seen in the picture itself there is evidence of the recent passing of horse drawn vehicles on the street. A small number “2” has been printed in the bottom right corner of the image and on the reverse the number “7” has been written.
