Description: 
Essex. Highly coloured map with very rich detail including place names and rivers. Woods and buildings are illustrated in colour. Borders are marked in different colours. The title is presented in Latin, bottom right in a large colourful cartouche decorated with a coat of arms. Beneath this is a scale decorated with a pair of dividers and marked: 'Scala Miliarium'. Septentrio, Meridies, Oriens, Occidens (Latin for North, South, East and West) are printed around the edges. Beneath the map is printed the title in English and '(British Museum. Maps C.7.c.I.)'. Beneath this is: 'Emery walker Limited, Collotypers'.
