Illustration: Britannia holding a shield with a lion to the right of her; to the left of Britannia are two cherubs, one presumably Mercury (Hermes) as the cherub is wearing a winged hat and is holding the caduceus or herald's staff. The scene also shows a beehive, crates and various sacks; in the distance a boat can be seen. Shows parts of Broughton, Cheetwood, Cheetham, Strangeways, Hulme, Stretford, Chorlton Row and River Irwell. Scale of a 1/4 of a mile.
