Dated at: Lancaster. Dating: Sir John de Assheton died 1428, ruling out a date of 14 Hen 6 (1435/6). Endorsed: i) "Seven and Twentieth"; ii) "The Charter for the Fayres and Markett at Ashton under Lyne". On vellum, there is a large seal attached to the document.
