That on an occasion so highly interesting, a general holiday be recommended ... 3d. That there be a grand procession in honor of the day ... 4th. That in order to afford refreshment to the working classes, it be recommended that oxen or sheep be roasted and publicly distributed, with a supply of malt liquor ... 5th. That a dinner be given to the non-commissioned officers and privates of the military stationed in these towns ... 6th. ... it is recommended that the children of the National and Lancasterian Schools .. form a procession ... 7th. That to defray the expenses of the day, a general subscription be immediately entered into ... 8th. That there be ball and supper in the evening, at the Assembly Rooms in Mosley-street ... 9th. That a general committee be appointed to carry into effect the several preceding revolutions ... James Brierley, chairman ... Thomas Worthington [chair].'
