Autograph letter from Victor Hugo to his daughter Adèle, saying that he misses her and has received her trunk containing her work. He adds that he is forced to leave Paris due to the political situation.
Bought from Morssen on 19 January 1963 for 380 francs.
Youngest child of Hugo, Adèle was also his only child who survived him, but she became mad and he had to put her into an asylum.
