Description:
|
Autograph letter to a 'cher compagnon d'exil', possibly Louis Blanc, requesting publication of some political article or letter in Le Rappel and Le Peuple Souverain. He leaves it to his correspondent and to Meurice and Vacquerie to suppress whatever may be dangerous or inopportune. He describes his life of solitude, enlivened by the presence of charming women, and asks his correspondent to visit him.
Bought from the Librairie de l'Abbaye on 23 November 1962 for 100 francs. This letter was previously in the collection of Robert Schuman (1886-1963).
