Autograph letter answering Blanc's letter of 16 April. He says that he agrees with him and sends 250 francs for the monument to Shakespeare. This sum is shared between him and his son François-Victor, he adds. He also mentions that he has sent him his last book [probably an essay about Shakespeare]. Written at Hauteville House, Guernsey. Bought from Goodspeed's Bookshop (Boston, USA) on 19 September 1962 for $30.
