Autograph letter to Blanc saying he is coming back from three weeks on Serk [now Sercq or Sark] Island and has just read his letter of the 29 October. He says that he understands Blanc's wishes to see Hugo in the Committee, but he has to remain faithful to his first decision.
Written at Hauteville House, Guernsey.
Bought from Goodspeed's Bookshop (Boston, USA) on 19 September 1962 for $40.
