Description:
Mr Piper's residence, located in North Shore, Sydney, New South Wales. Frederick Piper was a partner in the Sheffield firm of Levicks & Piper; he was not associated with the mint, but Jevons had a letter of introduction to Piper from his father. The house is a single storey with white wooden-siding, a porch with several poles on every edge supporting the large, gable roofs, with three chimneys. A set of steps can be seen leading to a small porch and front door. There are low bushes and plants surrounding the house, situated on a lawn. The area is grassy and has scattered plants throughout, and a pathway leading to the house, can be seen on the right. Handwritten caption(s) in ink on verso: 'Mr Piper's House. North Shore.' | 'By R. Hunt.' | '3/58'.
