This 1824 edition of the Bible, published by Cadell & Davies, is a reissue of the 1800 illustrated Bible published by Thomas Macklin. For the new edition, several new headpiece and tailpiece vignettes were designed, and others were adapted. The tailpiece to 1 Peter, designed by Philippe-Jacques de Loutherberg and engraved by James Heath. Publication line: "Publish'd by T. Macklin. Fleet Street. Republish'd by T Cadell Sep 3. 1823".
