Plan of the township of Altrincham, compiled by William Crosley in 1790. The plan shows roads, buildings, fields and hedges in considerable detail. The tenants or owners of some fields and parcels of land are recorded, but most fields are identified by number only, and no schedule or book of reference appears to have survived to identify the fields. Ink and colour wash on vellum Condition: area at top-left corner missing. Decoration: cartouche in top-left corner showing viaduct on Bridgewater Canal and idealized landscape (incomplete).
