Description:
Collection of songs with accompaniment for bass copied ca. 1660-1670, perhaps in Cheshire. Ten staves of five lines. First line: 'You that love to drinke...'. Handwritten signature: 'Thomas Purcel'. This could be the uncle of Henry Purcell (1659–1695), under whose guardianship he was placed after the death of his father in 1664. Pagination added by Robert Spencer in 1989.
