Double page opening showing two circles on facing pages which illustrate the components of the eight trigrams and how they were further exapnded during the Chou dynasty to become the 64 Hexagrams of the divinatory manual 'The Book of Changes'. A block rising from right to left appears in the hexagrams, showing how change takes place. Six volumes of chinese double leaves in one western binding with six individual names: Yi jing; Shu jing; Shi jing; Li ji; Zhou li; Chun qiu.
