A place for us all: Learning from Bradford, Oldham and Burnley - a Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) publication.
A year after the disturbances in summer 2001 in Oldham, Bradford and Burnley, answers were sought to questions about the state of race relations in Britain. These questions were given greater urgency after the events of 11 September 2001, when people from ethnic minorities, as a group, were held responsible by some for the acts of individual terrorists.
This CRE report was a contribution to the debates on social and community cohesion that intensified over 2001.
Forward by Gurbux Singh, Chair, Commission for Racial Equality.
