Statutory code of practice on the duty to promote race equality: A Guide for Institutions of Further and Higher Education - a Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) publication.
The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) issued a draft Statutory Code of Practice on the Duty to Promote Race Equality, which gives public authorities practical guidance on how to meet the general duty and any specific duties introduced by the Home Secretary.
This CRE guide supports the code and is aimed at the governing
bodies of further and higher educational institutions that are bound by the duties. The CRE envisaged that the guide would be useful for students, parents, community groups, contractors, partners and others who want to know what they can expect from, FE and HE institutions, and what these institutions might expect from them.
