Magistrates Supplementary Statement. Contains letters from Samuel Bamford (Secretary, by order of the Committee) and William Hulton (Chairman of the Select Committee of Magistrates): Letter from S. Bamford, addressed to 'To the Tradesmen, Farmers, Shopkeepers of Middleton and its Neighbourhood', dated Middleton, August 2nd, 1819. W. Hulton wrote two letters of which the contents were similar: Letter from W. Hulton to Major Thomas Trafford of the Manchester and Salford Yeomanry Cavalry, and letter to Lieutenant Colonel Guy L'Estrange, the overall military commander in Manchester.
