Circular letter (dated Preston, July 12, 1819) from Rawstorne and Wilson, solicitors of Preston, forwarding a copy letter by Lord Sidmouth (dated Whitehall, July 7 1819) to Lord Derby, the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, urging him to ensure that the Magistrates in the district of Manchester maintain order. Also, to ensure that several Corps of the Yeomanry Cavalry are ready to be called in if there is a need, due to the meetings of the public.
