Wooler's British Gazette, Manchester Observer, Saturday, August 25, 1821, new series 1. A newspaper initially formed by a group of radicals that included Joseph Johnson, John Knight, John Saxton and James Wroe; published in Manchester. In June 1821 the Manchester Observer ceased publication. In August 1821 it was revived with the help of T.J. Wooler and became associated with (but not merged into) his exsiting London paper Wooler's British Gazette.
