Description:
Decoration: contemporary Venetian illumination, in the style of the Pico Master who was active in Venice and Ferrara c1460-c1505 (continuously in Venice 1469-1495). Main initials are supplied in green, pink, and blue intertwined acanthus leaves, sometimes resembling ribbons, on a gold ground, with extensions to form a border of floral pink, blue, and green within circular gold vine stems. In lower border on leaf coat of arms of Tiburzio Passerotti (1444-1524) in green wreath. On leaf 7-line initial with the Virgin and child.
