Eighteenth-century Harleian style full red goatskin over pasteboards; covers gilt-tooled with a wide border of double and single fillets, a repeated design of various floral and foliate tools around the inner edges, and a large central rounded lozenge-shaped ornament built up of various small floral and foliate tools, lines and dots.
