Early manuscript inscriptions on leaf [g8]v: (1) "Liber sancte Marie In Furstenuelt Cisterciens[is] Ord[inis] Frysingen. dyoce[sis] / Is liber Virgini In furstenfeld attinet gloriose / Ob cuius singulis istud cu[m] abbacys [= abbatiis] / P[er]petuu[m] fundatu[m] asserit[ur] esse In [crossed-out] honorem", next to the second line is "Vacant" [= nothing there] [i.e. the Cistercian abbey at Fürstenfeldbruck (Kloster Fürstenfeld), in Bavaria, Germany]. (2) A further inscription beneath it in a different hand: "[name? or = Der ?] pfalzgraf peÿ rein herzog in obern vn[d] nidern payre[n]" [something to do with the Count Palatine of the Rhine].
