Description:
|
Manuscript inscription: "- eo Francesco albici figliolo di ... [illegible]" [possibly Cardinal Francesco Albizzi (1593-1684)]. Decoration: two-sided border of white vine-stems defined in blue, gold, green and red, ending in finials with gold dots and black pen-work, with an illuminated initial 'E' and, in the lower margin, a green laurel wreath with pink ribbons, gold dots and black pen-work enclosing a roughly sketched pen and ink coat of arms. Coat of arms, probably of the Albizzi family of Florence, possibly of Cardinal Francesco Albizzi (1593-1684).
