Decoration: Rome, fifteenth-century, illuminated 8-line initial 'P' is supplied in maroon and pink with blue and green foliate decoration on a square gold ground outlined in black, heavy gold and red bar in inner margin with blue, green, maroon and pink, and purple flower and leaf forms, upper margin has flowers, black pen-work and gold dots, same in lower margin and also with a green wreath, outlined in gold, containing an unidentified coat of arms (barry of four vert and argent in chief argent a castle gules) on a purple ground.
