From Bristol to John Wesley at the Foundery, London, describing in detail his abject misery at being in a state of sin. Messrs Richards and Sayre(?) have talked with him, but it has done no good. He begs that his uncle should pray for him. Mr Farley is printing an errata for the journals, and wants to know if one is required for the hymn-book as well. He asks that his 'duty' be passed to his grandmother [Susanna Wesley], and his love to Messrs Nevers and Purdy. In a postscript, he mentions that Nurse wants his directions re her house 'which is in ye utmost confusion'.
