Pamphlet to acquaint the British public with facts concerning disturbances in Jamaica especially relating to 'religious instruction of the negroes'. Various original documents are included. Section I is a statement by Baptist missionaries in Jamaica in April of that year. Section II details causes of the insurrection. Section III concerns the conduct of the colonists towards the British Government and Sectarians and is largely a number of extracted letters. Section IV concerns the conduct of misionaries and religious slaves during the insurrection and is again largely extracts of letters.
