Description:
|
From Wroot, to John and Charles Wesley, re Samuel's hope that one of them will be able to assist him in his parochial duties at Wroot, although he is concerned about the dangerous nature of the road from Epworth. He has been walking a great deal around his parish lately. The arrangments for the journey from Oxford to Lincolnshire are discussed. In a postscript he expresses his concern re Susanna's health, and says that they will find she has changed a great deal. On the reverse of the above, is a letter bearing the same date from Susanna Wesley to John, in which she mentions her recovery from ill health. She had thought that Samuel had changed his mind about asking John to be his curate, but now finds that this is not the case. However, if John were to delay his return from Oxford, then she is sure that the need for him to return would disappear. She supposes that Charles will have to get to Wroot by carrier from Nottingham, as it is impossible to complete the journey on horseback.
