Description:
|
View of Menston Asylum from the South. Showing the central building and both the male & female sides. The view is of the front of the hospital, the extensive complex of buildings and grounds can be seen in the distance. The buildings are in echelon arrangement to form a broad arrow shape; to the west of the central building were the male accommodation pavilions and to the east, the female accommodation. The distinctive water tower over the central building can be seen clearly. In the foreground is an open field with trees and hedgerows.
