View of the Lion Rock at Dovedale. A female figure stands on the bank of the River Dove that flows through the scenic limestone valley. The Lion Rock, a limestone formation resembling the head of a lion, is the large formation seen standing behind the figure. A muddy path runs along the bank in front of the formation and the opposite bank of the Dove is thickly populated with vegetation and trees.
