Description: 
Three women seated at [packing/labelling] desks. There is a large crate of bottles at one side and numerous large wooden packing crates stacked up behind them. There are over head labels: G.N.R., G.E.R. and L.B. & S.R. W&A Gilbey, formed in 1857, were originally wine merchants and became one of the largest drinks firms in the world after establishing a gin distillery in Camden in 1871.They had a long association with the Camden Good Depot and in the late 1860s a daily train, known as the Gilbey Special, would leave to supply markets around the world.
