Description:
|
Albumen print of the exterior of Dorford Hall, near Nantwich, Cheshire. Originally built by Ralph Wilbraham, 1616–1621. South elevation. Two-storey brick building with stone dressing and slate roof. Three bays with added bay on east side. There is a balustrade before the first and between the first and third attic. Two sets of 4 chimney stacks with pots on the side of the first bay, and one on the second. Others on the fourth, added bay. Steps up to a doorway in the second bay. Ivy growing up the walls, especially on the fourth bay. Formal planting in front of the building.
