Description:

Black and White photograph of the exterior of the old Medical School (Coupland 3). Taken at ground level from the north-eastern side of Coupland St roughly opposite the entrance to the rear quadrangle, the shot is angled west towards Lloyd St. It shows the School's frontage onto Coupland Street, the surface of which was, at the time, cobbled. There are wrought iron railings fixed in front of the eastern section of the building (since removed) and continuing on along the side of the road separating the northern section of the rear quadrangle from Coupland St. The junction with Cambridge St. can be seen in the distance.
