Silver casket, decorated with scenes of Manchester, the red rose of Lancaster and the Manchester coat of arms. The casket was presented to Charles Prestwich Scott when he received the freedom of the city of Manchester, April 8th 1930. It once held the original freedom scroll. This view shows an embossed scene of a early printing workshop, with one man working the printing press and another sat at a typesetting desk. On either side of the image is the red rose of Lancashire.
