Letter from Mary Glover to Mary Hamilton. She discusses Sir William Hamilton’s letter to the Royal Society on earthquakes, which is being reported in the newspapers, news of friends, and the topics of friendship and literature. Glover has been reading Goldsmith’s Roman History which she finds entertaining. She and Anna Maria Clarke have also been reading Mrs Chapone’s letters which she found ‘very improving’.
