Lord Napier writes that he intends to send Hamilton a dog by the coach the following day which she hopes she likes. Napier has been told that the dog dances and does ‘many tricks’ but that he will leave her to find this out. He continues that he had a puppy from his own dog for her but it broke its leg and he was ‘oblig[e]d to drown it’. Dated at London.
