Description:
|
The letter updates Mary Hamilton with news of her friends and family in London. Mrs Siddons youngest child is just recovering from the small-Pox inoculation. Jane reports that she has seen Siddons in the theatre twice this season. Once as Belvidera in the Tragedy of Venice Preserved and again [possibly] as Hermione in A Winter's Tale. Jane writes of learning Italian and speaking it now with some degree of service. The letter also relates to Mr Dickenson's health and the waters of Bath and refers to Mr Randall who is described as the 'most eminent person in his business, in Bath. Dated at London.
