Description: 
Dickenson writes in detail of his time in Bath, his social life there and the people he socialised with including the Rundells (see HAM/1/8/6) and Mrs Boscawen (see HAM/1/6/1). At the house of the Mrs Pigotts who own a portrait painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds, the finest he ever saw and suggests Hamilton view it herself when she gets a chance. They told him that Reynolds was so pleased with the portrait that he said that he should pay them for it rather than him.
