Description:
Apparently only the very top part of the page is missing. The text begins with the date: Wednesday, the ?th of Rajab 1163 (= June 1750). Al-mu'allim Amilan, the son of Yusuf the Jew is renting from the Hajj Ibrahi[m] ibn al-marhum (the diseased) Muhammad al-Janzawari, who is the wakil (attorney / representative) of al-Hajj Shihab ad-Dimati. The mentioned Amilan is renting the entire sitting hall (al-qa'a al-mu'allaqa) which is situated in the road of the seven halls (darb as-sab' qa'at, Egypt) for a period of three months. The signatures of the witnesses are written vertically to the text, on the right margins.
