Description:
Part of a well-preserved quire of eight papyrus leaves, the string which bound them together still in place. The leaves are nearly square and very small. The script is a medium-sized upright uncial. The subject of the book is prognostications to be derived from involuntary movement of various parts of the body. That such movements portended certain events was a popular belief which finds expression in both Greek and Latin classical literature. Various members of the body are taken one after the other from the head down.
