Description:
|
A call up notice served on an inhabitant of Hermapolis by order of the Count of the Thebaid Frontier through the local tribune. The conditions that would exempt him from conscription are carefully stated. Written along the fibres in a rounded cursive hand. The papyrus has been firmly stuck to a piece of cardboard so that the verso is not visible and to try and see it would damaged the fragment.
