Description: 
Fragment a contains part of three columns of text; each column consisted of 29 lines. Each fable begins on a new line, and the initial line projects into the margin. The papyrus is in a very fragile condition, badly frayed at the edges and with the fibres disordered. The text is written in an elegant upright and angular hand. The verso is blank. Acquired in 1917.
