Description:
Explicit: Book twenty two. Drawing of Fortune and her wheel. Six lines of text in a Visigothic hand, followed by the explicit in red capitals and 'Deo gratias'. Drawing in red and dark blue ink of 12th century date (?) depicting on the right Fortune seated and crowned; in her left hand is a sword, in her right she holds a crank-handle attached to her wheel, around which are four figures. At the top is a crowned figure holding a flowering sceptre in one hand and a leaf or spray in the other: 'regno' above. Left, a figure in a cap with hand to face: 'regnaui'; below, a bareheaded figure, palms turned outwards: 'sum sine regno'. By the handle is a figure holding a smaller leaf, with crown descending: 'regnabo'. The folio is apparently a later insertion.
