Description: 
Manuscript of the 'Lucas Glossatus'. The binding is white leather, with two clasps at the fore-edge and finished with blind tooling and a gold oval stamp, containing a shield, bearing a sprig of oak, and surmounted by a mitre and crosier-head. The binding dates from the 17th century. Above are the letters F.R.A.H (Frater Robertus Abbas Himmerodensis). The text of the gospel occupies the central column, the gloss a narrow column on the inner side, and a broader one on the outer. The gloss is the 'Gloss Ordinaria'. There are 16 lines to a page. Written in the late 12th century, in a clear set hand.
