Description: 
Manuscript of an 'Armorial'. Black morocco binding of 19th century. The armorial contains the heraldry of the princes & nobles present at the Council to elect the Pope. Illustrated throughout with arms, banners and shields from Germany, Spain, Portugal and other European countries. The text is written in double columns. Preceding the main body of text is an imperfect table written in English, in the18th century, of the principal contents of manuscript. Followed by notes in English in the same 18th century hand, on the contents of the work. The text begins with a prayer to the Trinity to assist the work in hand. Written in the 15th century.
