Description: 
Double page opening from 'Book of Religion and Empire', a controversial work on the superiority of Islam over other religions, mainly Christianity, Judaism and Parsism. The manuscript is written in clear Naskhi characters with nineteen lines to the page and contains numerous quotations from the Old and New Testaments. The headings of the chapters are in thick black characters. Folio 1b is badly damaged, rendering the text nearly illegible. Rubrication, marginal annotations and border on folio 2a.
