Description:
|
Parson's Tale: the script is in black and red ink and lines and borders are ruled in black. The seventh section on the seven deadly sins begins with an illuminated initial 'A' on pink and blue grounds with short marginal sprays. There are 36-38 lines per page. Some portions of text are underlined in red ink and small gold and blue initials appear throughout the text. Written in England in one hand, the dialect and spelling include a significant number of West Midland and North Midland forms.
