Description:
General Prologue: the script is in black ink and there are two illuminated initial 'A's on pink and blue grounds. Lines and borders are ruled in black ink, with 36-38 lines per page. Written in England in one hand, the dialect and spelling include a significant number of West Midland and North Midland forms. Both illuminated capital A's have a blurred, smudgy appearance of the ultramarine under the gold.
