Description:
|
Siege of Troy. Book four: the Amazons attack the Greeks in a frenzy after seeing their Queen slain, but the Greeks press their advantage and drive the Trojans back to Troy. The Greeks refuse to give the Trojans the body of Queen Penthesilea in order for her to be buried honourably. Pyrrhus (Neoptolemus) has no objection to the return of her body but Diomedes forbids it and so her body is thrown into a lake near Troy. The written space is 305 x 200 mm, 2 columns and 44 lines and the script is anglicana formata by two hands.
